Quick Info
Fair warning, this a dark one, folks. In the early hours of July 12, 1988, Peter Khoury woke up in his Sydney home to find two strange female beings standing beside his bed. One was a tall blonde with unusual facial features and a tight-fitting suit. The other was shorter with Asian features and dark skin. What happened next was one of the most physically documented and bizarre abduction experiences on record, including a single golden hair that was later subjected to DNA analysis.
Peter was a 24-year-old married man with no interest in UFOs. His calm, consistent account and the strange physical evidence have made the case one of Australia’s most intriguing close encounters.
Peter Khoury’s Background
Peter Khoury was born in Lebanon and immigrated to Australia with his family. By 1988 he was living a quiet life in the western suburbs of Sydney with his wife. He worked in construction and had no previous interest in the paranormal or UFOs. By all accounts Peter was known as a normal straightforward, honest man who avoided attention.
The Night of July 12, 1988
Peter went to bed as usual. In the early hours of the morning he suddenly woke up, paralyzed, with two women standing at the foot of his bed. The taller one had long blonde hair, very fair skin, and large, slightly slanted eyes. She wore a tight, one-piece suit. The shorter woman had dark skin, Asian-like features, and wore a similar outfit. Both had unusually large heads and thin bodies.
“They just appeared there. I couldn’t move. The tall one looked at me with very intense eyes.”
— Peter Khoury
What followed was extremely intimate and disturbing. The taller being climbed onto the bed and attempted to initiate a sexual encounter. Peter resisted at first but felt an overwhelming sense of calm. The experience was brief and left him shaken.
The Physical Evidence
After the beings left, Peter noticed something strange. A single long, golden-blonde hair was wrapped tightly around his penis. He carefully removed and preserved it. Years later, in 1998, the hair was sent for independent DNA analysis at a leading Australian laboratory.
The results were startling. The hair belonged to a human female, but the DNA showed extremely rare genetic markers, some never seen before in any known human population. The mitochondrial DNA suggested a very ancient lineage with unusual combinations. The lab could not explain how such a hair could exist on a modern human.
The Investigation
Peter reported the experience to UFO researcher Bill Chalker. Over the following years Chalker conducted a thorough investigation, including interviews with Peter’s wife and medical checks. Peter passed every credibility test. He never sought fame or money and remained consistent in his account for decades.
Timeline of the Peter Khoury Case
- July 12, 1988 – Early morning – Peter wakes to find two strange female beings in his bedroom.
- During the encounter – Intimate contact occurs with the taller blonde being.
- Immediately after – Peter finds the unusual golden hair wrapped around him.
- 1998 – The hair is sent for DNA analysis with highly unusual results.
- 2000s onward – Bill Chalker publishes detailed research; Peter continues to stand by his story.
Why This Case Is So Unusual
The Peter Khoury case stands out because of the physical evidence. Most abduction stories rely only on memory or hypnosis. Here we have a tangible biological sample that was independently tested and showed genetic anomalies. The intimate nature of the encounter, combined with Peter’s ordinary life and consistent testimony, makes it one of the most disturbing and credible cases in UFO literature. It raises difficult questions about what these beings might want and why they would choose an everyday person like Peter Khoury.

What Do You Think?
After reading Peter Khoury’s account and the DNA results, and listening to him tell it in the video above, what’s your reaction? Do you think this was a genuine encounter with non-human beings, or could there be another explanation? Why do you think they chose Peter? Listening to Peter himself telling what happened, you can hear in his voice just how deeply this event has effected him even now all these years later.
There is something deeply dark about this event, that they could just sexually assault (yes, the R word) a man like it was nothing. I don't know if I'd be able to handle it to be honest. At the end of the day this is one of the most physically documented and unsettling abduction cases on record, I’d love to hear your thoughts on it.
