On September 29, 1988, a man’s body was discovered on the banks of the Guarapiranga Reservoir in São Paulo, Brazil. What the police and pathologists found was deeply disturbing: precise circular holes drilled into the body, major organs removed with almost no blood at the scene, and surgical-like cuts that defied normal explanation.
The case has been linked by some researchers to UFO activity because of striking similarities to cattle mutilations. To this day, it remains one of the most unsettling human mutilation cases on record.
The Discovery
The body of an unidentified man, estimated to be in his 20s or 30s, was found floating near the edge of the reservoir. He was naked and showed no signs of typical violent trauma like gunshot or stab wounds. What shocked the investigators were the clean, circular holes, about 1.5 inches in diameter, carefully made in several places: above the armpits, through the navel, and in the groin area.
The Bizarre Mutilations
The autopsy revealed that major internal organs had been removed through these small holes. The eyes, ears, tongue, and lower jaw were gone. The lips and skin around the mouth and neck had been excised with surgical precision. Most disturbingly, there was almost no blood at the scene or inside the body cavity, as if the blood had been drained or suctioned out.

The official cause of death was listed as cardiac arrest, likely brought on by the extreme pain and trauma while the victim was still alive.
