In the middle of 2023, several remote villages deep in the Peruvian Amazon became gripped by fear. Tall beings dressed in black armor with glowing yellow eyes were reportedly attacking people at night. They hovered on disc-like platforms and used strange devices that seemed to peel faces or extract fat and blood from their victims.
What started as isolated sightings quickly turned into a wave of terror. Villagers formed armed patrols, and the story spread rapidly across Peru and the world. This is the disturbing account of the Face Peelers.
A Remote Corner of the Amazon
The incidents mainly took place in the Loreto region of northern Peru, around the communities of Ikitu and San Antonio de Pintuyacu. These are small, isolated villages where people live simple lives close to the jungle. Most residents are Indigenous or local farmers with no background in UFO stories or conspiracy theories. Life here moves slowly, centered around fishing, farming, and family. That peaceful rhythm was shattered when the attacks began.
The First Attacks
Reports began in July 2023. People described seeing tall figures, around 7 feet or more, wearing what looked like black suits or armor. Their eyes glowed bright yellow. The beings would descend on small hovering platforms that resembled flying discs. At first, the sightings were dismissed as rumors or misidentified animals, but the encounters quickly became more aggressive.
The Face-Peeling Horror
Victims claimed the beings used strange devices that created precise cuts on the face and body. Some survivors said the attackers tried to peel the skin from their faces or insert tubes into their noses and mouths. A number of people were left with deep, circular wounds and extreme fatigue. The attacks often happened at night when people were walking home or working late in the fields.

Several people were hospitalized with unusual injuries that doctors struggled to explain. A few deaths were also reported in the area, though it has been difficult to confirm if they were directly linked to the attacks.

As you can imagine the fear spread rapidly through the local communities. Families began staying indoors after dark and men took turns standing guard with whatever weapons they could find.
The Pishtaco Legend Connection
Local Indigenous communities immediately connected the attacks to the ancient Pishtaco legend. For centuries, stories have circulated in the Andes and Amazon about pale or strange beings that steal human fat and organs. The modern Face Peelers seemed to fit this old folklore perfectly, which made the fear spread even faster. Many elders saw the events as a modern version of the Pishtaco returning in a new, more technological form.
Tim Alberino’s Investigation
Researcher and explorer Tim Alberino traveled to the affected villages to investigate. He interviewed survivors, documented their injuries, and collected video testimonies. Alberino described the beings as wearing advanced-looking black armor and using technology that appeared far beyond normal human capability. He noted that the wounds on victims often matched patterns seen in alleged cattle mutilations.

Why This Case Is So Disturbing
Unlike many UFO sightings that involve distant lights, the Face Peelers case involved direct, and in some cases extremely violent, contact with people on the ground. The combination of modern descriptions and ancient Pishtaco folklore made the fear spread like wildfire through the communities. Even today, some villages in the area remain on high alert after dark. If you watch the videos of the local people interviewed their fear is absolutely real. Something very dark is happening to them that's for sure. The lack of clear official answers has only added to the unease.
