They said they had visited Earth hundreds of thousands of years ago, seeded early civilizations (especially Sumeria), and left behind knowledge of Vril, a cosmic life-force that could be harnessed for levitation, healing, destruction, or even bending time and space. Maria's trances produced complete blueprints: circular flight machines with no propellers or jets, propulsion based on rotating electromagnetic fields or plasma vortexes, and materials that could withstand extreme forces. The transmissions came in two scripts, one a cipher they later decoded, the other a language Maria identified as closely related to ancient Sumerian. German, they said, shared phonetic frequencies with both, proof of the Aryan lineage.
By the early 1920s the Vril group had enough to start building. The first small Vril discs (RFZ series) flew in 1934–1937. They rose silently, hovered, moved in impossible angles. The SS took notice. Funding flowed. Prototypes grew larger. The technology worked. Maria Orsic reportedly said the Aldebaran beings had no territorial ambition and were not aligned with Nazi ideology, they simply wanted their descendants to reclaim lost knowledge.
Yet the SS saw the potential and folded the work into black-budget programs. Maria and most of the Vril maidens disappeared in late 1944 or early 1945, some accounts say they left Germany with the final Haunebu prototypes, heading to Antarctica or South America. The Thule Society, The Occult Roots
The Vril Society did not exist in isolation. It grew directly out of the Thule Society, founded in Munich in 1918 by Rudolf von Sebottendorff and others. Thule believed in a lost Aryan homeland in the far north (Thule/Hyperborea) and that the Aryan race was descended from advanced beings who once ruled the Earth. They practiced runic magic, studied ancient Aryan texts, and sought to awaken the Vril force within the bloodline. Members included early Nazi figures like Dietrich Eckart, Rudolf Hess, Alfred Rosenberg, and Hans Frank. Adolf Hitler himself was influenced by Thule ideas in his early years, though he later distanced himself publicly.
Thule's occult worldview, Aryan superiority, lost technology, cosmic energy, provided the spiritual foundation for Vril. The two groups overlapped heavily. When Maria Orsic and the Vril mediums began receiving Aldebaran schematics, Thule members helped fund and protect the work. The SS Ahnenerbe (ancestral heritage research institute) later absorbed many of these ideas, searching Tibet and other places for ancient Aryan artifacts and knowledge.
The Thule belief that advanced technology was once possessed by the Aryans and could be reclaimed through occult means directly inspired the Haunebu and Glocke programs. Kammler, though pragmatic, operated within this worldview, the Bell was not just a weapon, but a return to ancient power. Maybe, just maybe, they really did find something other-worldly on one of their attempts to locate occult items during the War?

Viktor Schauberger, The Water Wizard Who Powered the Discs
Viktor Schauberger was an Austrian forester and inventor who understood water and vortex energy better than anyone alive. He believed nature never uses straight lines or explosive force, everything spirals, implodes, cools, and builds energy. He developed implosion turbines that used water or air in vortex motion to create lift and power without heat or waste. His devices produced anti-gravity effects in small-scale tests, objects levitated, water purified itself, energy multiplied.
The Nazis brought Schauberger into secret projects in 1943–1944. He worked on disc propulsion systems that used spiraling mercury or air to generate lift. Witnesses described small Schauberger turbines inside Haunebu prototypes, they glowed blue-green, produced no exhaust, and allowed the craft to rise vertically and accelerate instantly.
